Do the math and you’ll see MDR’s campaign helped produce traffic at the newly opened Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay. Just in time for Back-to-School shopping, the “OUTsmart. INstyle.” theme is fun and energetic with looks that reflect a 90’s hip hop vibe. The theme’s focus was on value and savings on big brands at a fraction of the price. MDR wanted to create something that would resonate with parents of school age children, many of whom grew up in the 90’s. The center saw a 19% spike in traffic during the month that led into a wildly successful turnout for Texas’ tax-free weekend.

Agency chosen to lead brand development strategy as the center continues to attract new stores and shoppers.
After launching a soft opening in May 2017, the Outlets have seen a steady flow of traffic from tourists and underserved shoppers in the Corpus Christi Region. The center continues to develop and add new stores throughout the year as it looks forward to a Spring 2018 Grand Opening.
Designed as an outdoor village of meandering walkways lined with shops and services, the center offers several unique features, including its Curbside Food Truck Pavilion, a refreshing alternative to the standard food court concept. The Outlets have partnered with MDR to develop their new brand and marketing strategy as the shops expand in upcoming months.

The Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay (OCCB) is the Coastal Bend’s new destination for unbeatable savings from their outlet brand and specialty stores. A collaboration between Lockhard Companies, Carduner Commercial and EB Development, the center opened in May 2017 and seeks to become the shopping and leisure destination for locals and tourists seeking big brands at affordable prices.

MDR has been named a winner of the 38th Annual Telly Awards for their broadcast work done for NavyArmy Community Credit Union. With over 13,000 entries from 50 states and 5 continents, the Telly Awards have become one of the most sought-after awards in the industry.
The winning entry was completely created and produced by MDR’s in-house creative and animation team. The entry, titled “Get Serious”, was part of a larger campaign focused on member recruitment. The campaign urged those who have been thinking about changing banks to finally “make their move” and “get serious about switching”. The campaign also won multiple awards at this years American Advertising Awards both at the local and district levels.
