Not only in population but the retail and hotel sectors seem to also have their sights set on Portland. With this growth and an abundance of new hotel rooms, the city saw an opportunity to create a tourist destination. They tapped MDR to create a unique visitor-facing brand that captures the spirit of their citizens and invites visitors to love where they land.
The brand not only helps create a sense of place, it evokes a sense of pride. The designs feature several custom illustrations and intricate details that make it perfect for merchandising opportunities so visitors can take a piece of Portland home with them.
