The “Road to Boston” is a challenging one accented by years of training, gallons of sweat and miles of personal challenges. It’s quite the accomplishment just to qualify. When CITGO became the official fuel sponsor of the Boston Marathon, they relied on MDR to create a unique, inspiring visual that captures the varied paths of so many runners. While each participant has their own story of triumph and tribulation, they all eventually lead to Boston. The result, was a an interactive mural to serve as a photo op and graffiti wall for runners to sign at the finish line. Unfortunately, the global pandemic forced organizers to cancel the event in 2020, but not before we were able to incorporate a nod to the doctors and nurses on the front line.
