On February 25, 2022, at the American Advertising Federation “ADDY” Awards, MDR walked away with the top awards for some of its best branding and creative work for clients in the Corpus Christi, Houston, and San Antonio metro areas. Collecting “Best of Show” for its work on the Champs Meat Market brand, MDR also won Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards in several different categories ranging from logo designs, to integrated campaigns and websites.

Discover Kemah

In 2021, Kemah chose MDR for a complete rebrand that included a new brand identity, website, merch—and a full-scale marketing plan. MDR’s brand work completely revitalized their image, resulting in multiple awards.

Logo Design

The core of Kemah’s brand revolves around the city’s nautical traditions. At sea, ships use nautical flags to communicate with each other. When designing Kemah’s new logo, MDR carried this concept further with flags that communicated local attractions birding, nature, fishing, and so much more.

With the tagline “All Kinds of Fun”, MDR created multiple versions of the logo—including an animated logo featuring all the different design concepts in the same visual space.

Website Design

When creating the website for Discover Kemah, MDR incorporated the brand’s bright colors and nautical flag concept. With plenty of fun, diverse images and iconography, the website introduces visitors from around the world to this hidden gem destination.

Introducing the Brand

Champs Meat Market opened in 2021, quickly establishing themselves as one of the best grab-and-go meat sources in South Texas with the support of top-notch branding and creative work from MDR.

The Champs brand uses symbolism behind every part of the logo, communicating premium quality to its consumers. The iconography reveals a trophy, cow, and crown that when overlaid, form the image of a cow’s face. The brand work included product packaging, store signage, interior designs, photography, employee uniforms, and even branded merch. Members of the community have connected with the brand as the new business grows exponentially week over week.

The Champs Meat Market website features the Champs brand on full display, with a sleek and modern design introducing the company to the world and offering information about the premium products, partners and operational details

Tour Gonzales

Introducing the Brand

Gonzales, TX is a small city outside of San Antonio where the opening shots of the Texas War for Independence were fired – best known as the home of the “Come and Take It” cannon. Full of historic pride, they came to MDR for rebranding to take their image to the next level and welcome visitors back after the pandemic. MDR created a fresh look for Tour Gonzales, setting up a cross-channel marketing plan that included billboards, social media, and a brand new website. Website Design

Tour Gonzales’ website features a directory of all city businesses, hotels, and B&B’s. It also features a downloadable visitor’s guide, and multiple ways to engage with this historic town. Where to stay, what to see, and things to do are all centered in one place.

Tour de Boerne

Introducing the Brand

Tour de Boerne is a world-famous bike ride that takes place once a year just outside of San Antonio. MDR took their existing brand and completely revitalized it. With bold, vibrant colors, modern fonts, and a new logo, MDR created a shining example of how a modern brand can enhance your image. When the new brand debuts with the next bike ride in 2022, riders will be greeted with water bottles and jerseys with the gorgeous logos and colors, along with updated signage and a new website.
